Fishing Trips on The McKenzie River

*A decade In Business *A Life Time Of Experience......

  • I base my adventures from my home in Springfield Oregon where I live not far from the McKenzie River. I am licensed by the state of Oregon, a trained Swift Water Technician and certified in 1st Aid & CPR. A life long angler and river boater who grew up on the banks of the Rogue River near Agness. Where I learned to fish, boat the whitewater and the joy of sharing those adventures with others. My trips are for people of all ages, abilities and experience. I provide all the gear on both my fishing and rafting trips, some trips include a catered lunch.

Winter & Summer Steelhead Fishing

  • With summer and winter runs of steelhead, fishing for them is a year round pastime in Oregon. The summer run, May through November and the winter run December through April.  For summer fish the McKenzie & Willamette Rivers near Springfield Oregon are two of the state's most productive.
  • For winter time fishing the Alsea & Siuslaw along the central Oregon coast  are equally as productive. All these river are famous for their solid runs of retain-able hatchery steelhead.

Year Round Trout Fishing For Everyone

  • Trout fishing is allowed year round on many of Oregon's river and lakes. The best trout fishing starts around May 1st, continues into late fall and one of Oregon's top trout rivers is the McKenzie River. Every angler can harvest five hatchery trout per day as we float along in a McKenzie River Drift Boat.
  • Some sections are managed entirely for wild trout catch and release fishing but trophy sized trout are present throughout the entire length of the river.
